New year, new resolve to keep talking about myself!

The last few months have been very eventful for me, my family, and many of the folks around me. Joy and sadness, triumph and loss, sweet & sour… Stuff happened. I have somewhere between eight and ten updates on deck, ready to catch this site up from August to now. And I couldn’t have done it without the help of the man from Sniper Island!

Octopus Ink

My friend Allie is getting a very ambitious, extremely awesome multi-octopus tattoo on her back. Ben from Pino Bros. Tattoo in Cambridge did her linework almost two years ago, but life intervened and she moved far away before she could finish. She recently moved back to the Northeast, and got Ben to start coloring in the cephalopods this week.

On a side note, this is my first shoot in a tattoo parlor in about four years, and I was reminded yet again of how I was ruining all my pictures back then simply by trying waaaaaay too hard. Also, now that I’ve seen someone sit for four hours, I can safely say I will NEVER do anything as epic as this.
